I am an ISM registered, fully PVG checked 1:1 music teacher, specialising in classical vocal technique. (also available for early piano and music theory lessons)
I teach students of all ages and abilities and am experienced working with students with Additional Support Needs, including physical and learning disabilities, autism, and dementia.
My teaching style is based in classical vocal technique, however in lessons I tailor my approach to the needs and wishes of each individual student, and also work with musical theatre and folk music repertoire. I always place focus on the importance of breathing technique and body awareness for natural vocal production, and am a firm believer that, above all, singing should be rewarding, engaging, and fun!
For students who wish to take part in examinations, I work from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music syllabus. In light of this, I would always incorporate the levels of aural and theory skills expected to pass these exams.
If you are interested in taking up lessons with me, please do not hesitate to get in touch for more information via the contact page.

'Professional. Persistent. Very knowledgeable.' - Michael H
'Myrna is absolutely fabulous. She is friendly, welcoming, her instructions were clear, and I always felt in good hands while being taught by her. Most importantly she was very helpful in my audition prep for a role in a musical theatre show and I am very happy to say that I got the part. [...] I am very grateful to her input and would definitely recommend.' - Omiros V
'First singing has been amazing with Myrna! I hadn't sung in 7 years but she gave me really good advice from lesson 1 which helped me to get back on tracks quicker than expected!' - Héloïse G
